FOR CARERS & PARENTS

We are working to create a better performing arts sector for carers and parents.

Our co-CEOs Anna and Cassie set up PiPA because when their children were young there was no one to help them create a life as a caregiver in the performing arts. Caring responsibilities seemed completely invisible.

PiPA has been working with employers in the arts for 10 years to make sure that whether you are a parent or a carer or both, you can continue your career and support your loved ones.

We’ll bring the opportunities to you!

We collate news, opportunities, supports and funding that might be useful for parents and carers in the performing arts.

PARENT STORIES & RESOURCES

Irregular schedules, long hours and financial instability are just some of the working conditions that can impact parents in the performing arts.

Here you’ll find resources to support you on your journey as a working parent in dance, theatre, music and across the performing arts.

CARER Stories & Resources

Carers are individuals who provide unpaid support to family members, friends or others who need help due to illness, disability, or age.

Many artists and performers carry these responsibilities alongside their creative work and/or parenting responsibilities. Here you’ll find stories from carers in the performing arts and resources designed to support carers.
