Shazia Mustafa founded Third Door, the world’s first family-friendly coworking space with an onsite, flexible, Ofsted-registered nursery. Third Door was designed to empower parents by allowing them to work near their children, reducing commuting time and alleviating parental guilt, all while fostering a supportive community of like-minded professionals.

Shazia currently leads Inclusive Placemaking, her consultancy focused on helping small businesses create welcoming, consumer-centred spaces that align with community needs. Through Inclusive Placemaking, Shazia helps clients enhance customer engagement, achieve financial sustainability, and drive positive change, proving that inclusivity, social impact and profitability can thrive together.

Shazia’s commitment to social justice is further demonstrated through her work on the Steering Board Committe local Community Land Trust Steering Committee. She is the Vice Chair of PiPA where she leads our Diversity and Inclusion strategy.
