PiPA’s regional networks create forums in which organisations and freelancers actively looking to build inclusivity and relevance come together with parents and carers from the local talent pool.

In addition to sharing peer learning, regional network meetings focus on practical actions and support for organisations. Each meeting sets out to establish clear strategies, identify opportunities for collaboration and deliver actionable solutions specific to local needs.

The regional networks also involve parents and carers working in dance, music, opera and theatre. Some meetings lead directly to practical support and new opportunities, whilst all highlight insights and experiences which enable employer organisations to understand and respond to real concerns and needs.

The shared agenda is to:

1 Address needs specific to the region
2 Share resources
3 Benefit from peer learning
4 Work collaboratively to provide solutions and promote change

"The Midlands PIPA meeting was incredibly useful, both for hearing the challenges being faced by parents and carers during the pandemic, but also debating some of the new ways of working which are emerging and how these might be applied once society starts to re-emerge. We have a real opportunity to make positive changes to our industry right now and platforms such as PIPA encourage an open dialogue with local practitioners, which is invaluable."
