In conjunction with The Old Vic, PIPA and SDUK are holding a 'Making It Happen' session for directors who are parents and carers or who (might) work with those with caring responsibilities and are interested in Best Practice. The 2h event will be on the 11th of July at The Old Vic with a free on site Crèche*.
It is often perceived that the 'power' in terms of making it possible to work in theatre and raise children lies with the director. However, directors are facing exactly the same issues and pressures as anyone else in the company.
This session is to provide tangible support for directors as well as inform how directors can support others as well.
What: A panel discussion with industry leaders on family friendly practices in Directing hosted by The Old Vic, PIPA & Stage Directors UK
When: 11th July 11am - 1pm
Where: The Old Vic Theatre (Upstairs Bar**), The Cut, London SE1 8NB
Who Is It for: Directors who are interested in Best Practice working with artists who are parents or carers, as well as directors who have caring responsibilities themselves.
